Sponsorship Opportunities

The Cane River Green Market is currently seeking sponsors to continue the CRGM Kids Club program.  In the summer of 2015, the Cane River Green Market introduced the CRGM Kids Club to children and families. The Kids Club provided an incentive for children to eat healthy and support local farmers by providing them $10 in tokens to spend with Cane River Green Market vendors each Saturday as well as cool gifts and healthy eating tips. From April to July 2015, approximately 500 individual children checked in at the CRGM Kids Club with many of them making repeat trips to the market with family and friends.

The Cane River Green Market was able to provide this incentive to children and families through a grant from The Rapides Foundation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation, Central Louisiana Economic Development Alliance (CLEDA), and MarketUmbrella.org. Unfortunately, those grant funds have been depleted.

The Cane River Green Market is asking for your assistance to continue this great program.  Click here for more information on sponsorship opportunities and to download a sponsorship form.  We thank you for your time and consideration!

Keep Natchitoches Beautiful Joins Cane River Green Market for Make a Difference Day!

Make a Difference Day Flyer

Keep Natchitoches Beautiful will join the Cane River Green Market and Natchitoches Rotary for a Make a Difference Day Celebration at the market. A recycling drive, riverbank cleanup and kids' planting activity are all planned for the October 22nd Cane River Green Market.

Visitors to the Cane River Green Market will have the opportunity to drop off recyclables as well as participate in a brief riverbank cleanup. Cleanup supplies including litter grabbers, garbage bags, and gloves will be provided. The CRGM Kids Corner will feature a free planting activity in which children will be able to plant a seed in biodegradable recycled newspaper pots to take home to beautify their front yards. Volunteers will also be asked to sign the Leaders Against Litter pledge to SPEAK UP and spread the word that litter is not acceptable in my community, to PICK UP litter whenever and wherever I see it, and to STAND UP and lead the way for a litter-free Louisiana. As a take away, participants will receive a new Keep Louisiana Beautiful bumper sticker with the state slogan of "Love the Boot. Don't Pollute."

The Cane River Green Market is open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the downtown riverbank in Natchitoches. Market offerings include fresh fruits and vegetables, value-added products and handmade crafts. In addition to Make a Difference Day activities, the market will also feature a free Zumba class with Kimmy's Zumba at 8:30 a.m. and live music by Jarrett Bailey from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Credit, debit and SNAP cards are accepted at the market.
