Adoption Day at the Green Market |

The Natchitoches Humane Society will hold an adoption day on the downtown riverbank. This will include dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. All animals at this event are currently being cared for in various foster homes and are in desperate need of a permanent family. Some of the animals have been spayed or neutered. However, if spaying or neutering is needed, the Natchitoches Humane Society will assist in paying a portion of the cost. Green Market patrons are encouraged to bring their pets to the market Saturday as well. Treats and water bowls will be available for all four leg friends. Live entertainment on July 11 will be provided by The Lukejazz Trio from 10 a.m. to noon. This popular jazz band will perform their season finale at the market. This Saturday, Anderson’s Produce will have tomatoes, okra, sweet corn and watermelons.
